I think the water is leaking thru the sunroof. It s not a drain tube it s a vent tube for your battery since it s in your trunk i have a 2004 lincoln ls with battery in the trunk says we are suppose to use vented batteries never had to replace mine only had it for about 3 years did replace the negative battery cable my car is a ford product like your s here s a cool link about our trunk batteries you should have the vent tube connected to. I m having exactly the same problem with my 02 lincoln ls.
